Born in Siena on 10/19/1962

It has a high school diploma high school at the Liceo Scientifico Buonarroti in Pisa in July 1981 with a score of 50/60.
He graduated in Medicine at Pisa University on 30/10/1989 by vote of 110/110 and dissertations on a topic neurosurgery. E 'joined at the Order of Physicians of the Province of Pisa (Iscriz. No. 3256).

From 'began in October 1989 to attend the Plastic Surgery Unit at the Pisa USL 12.
From 11.04.1990 to 07.15.1990, he attended the '83 th Course of the Maritime Military Health School Officers in Naval Academy, where she served from 16/07/1990 as Medical Officer of Completion .

It was dismissed on 07.17.1991 with the rank of midshipman (Sub-Lieutenant from 01/01/1998 - 04/16/2003 DM).

From 12.29.1993 he was full time Assistant Medical at the Division of Plastic Surgery 's Hospital Cisanello, Azienda Ospedaliera Pisana, (from 12/1998 The Medical Director level) to 6 / 2010, to continue then its business plastic surgeon only at the Private Clinic S. Rossore in Pisa. He has to date (12/2010) a series staff of about six thousand surgical procedures including reconstructive surgery hospital, humanitarian surgery and cosmetic surgery.

In 5 / 1994 is one of the founders of the Tuscany Association for cleft lip and palate "

From 12.05 to 23.05.1997, he attended the Division of Plastic Surgery Hospital Infant Jesus (Vatican City), for widening of the techniques Diagnostic endoscopy in children with cleft lip and surgical techniques of genital malformations.
On 10/30/1998 he specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Parma (Dir.: Prof. F. Papadia) by a vote of 50 to 50, a thesis entitled "A multidisciplinary approach to patient with cutaneous melanoma ".

From 6 / 1995 part Organization "Interplast Italy" and participated, from 1995 to 2004 six humanitarian surgical missions last about a month each, at the "Zambian Ortopaedic Italian Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia, Central Africa, where he performed in team with Prof. Paul Santoni Rugiu (team leader of the missions), some 250 pediatric plastic surgery for congenital malformations and outcomes of burns.
In August 2002 he organized and directed as Senior Surgeon of Interplast Italy, a further surgical mission in Zambia for a period of 20 days.

In Division of Plastic Surgery of Pisa was the responsible 'for the Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic and consultant for the Regional Center of Plastic Surgery Reference to treat obesity (in collaboration with the Unit of Endocrinology of the University Prof. Aldo Pinchera) until 6 / 2010. From 1 / 2000 to 5 / 2009 has worked as a consultant for the Surgical Unit of the Integrated Cancer Surgery Women (Head: Dr. Manuela Roncella) with a series of 700 operations for breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
Since 7 / 2010 carries Professions of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic from the Private Clinic S. Rossore in Pisa.
From 2 / 2000 to 6 / 2010 taught Surgical Technique at the School of Specialisation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the 'Siena University.

From 5 / 2002 held by 8 sessions a year at the outpatient in Pubblica Assistenza-Avis Borgo a Buggiano (PT) screening for melanoma prevention population of the Municipality.

From 03.03.2003 to 03.28.2003, he attended the burns unit at the Centre Division of Plastic Surgery at the University in Padova (Dir.: Prof. F. Mazzoleni) in an update command hospital.

03/21/2003 The Italy receives for Interplast, the Mayor of Pisa Paolo Fontanelli Award "Women in Solidarity" for the activity of surgery carried out in Africa by the Interplast volunteer.

He subsequently took part as Senior Surgeon of the following Interplast Italy, surgical missions Humanitarian:

• From 07/04/2004 to 04/25/2004, in collaboration with the Swiss Red Cross and Tibetan at the Shigatse Hospital (Tibet) during which he performed 56 surgeries as an operator on patients with cleft lip and outcomes burn;
• From 03/21/2005 to 03/04/2005, at the Municipal Peoples Hospital of Lhasa (Tibet): 70 operations as first operator
• From 14.07.2006 to 08.08.2006 at the Yushu Prefecture Hospital (Quinghay, China): 60 for operator intervention as cleft lip and palate and outcome of burns.
• From 27.06.2008 to 14.07.2008 has organized and directed a further humanitarian surgical mission of Interplast Italy in Kampala (Uganda, Central Africa) where 71 patients were operated on with outcomes of burns and malformations.
• In December 2008 she participated in a humanitarian mission in organizational Albania (Durres Hospital) and Kosovo (Klina) under the International Cooperation of the Hospital of Pisa, under the patronage of the Regione Toscana (headed by Dr Mauro Lazzeri, Fabrizio Arzilli)
• From 30/12/2009 to 17/01/2010 held a humanitarian Interplast surgical duty is to Camiri (Bolivia, South America) where 75 patients were operated on.

In 7 / 04 is one of the members founders, together with Dr. A. Romanini (Oncology Unit, Pisa) and Professor G. Bronzetti (CNR Institute of Mutagenesis, Pisa, died of melanoma in 2004) of the Association Against Melanoma ", an NGO with the aim of promoting and supporting research, prevention and information on malignant melanoma. From 30 / 8 to 3/9/2004 has attended the center burns Bufalini Hospital of Cesena (Manager: Dr D. Melandri), as the update command of the Hospital of Pisa.

He is ordinary member of the Italian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SICPRE). ( www.sicpre.org )
He is in the Medical Committee, as a Senior surgeon, "the Association INTERPLAST ITALY ( www.interplastitaly.it )

Since 7 / 2003 is a member of the Rotary Club of Pisa ( www.rotarypisa.it )
And 'member of' IMI (Italian Melanoma Intergroup).
Since 2006 he has worked with Interplast Italy, of ' No Profit Association Harp ( www.fondazionearpa.it) chaired by Professor Franco Mosca (Dir. General Surgery, Pisa). From 4 / 2010 he cooperated with the Humanitarian Cooperation Project "Hope" of the Scuola Superiore S. Anna di Pisa, on which bi-annual newsletter "St. Anna News" publishes annual reports of its missions around the world.

In June 2008 he received the Rotary Club of Pisa / Rotary International recognition "Paul Harris Fellow" for business volunteer plastic surgeon in the Third World since 1995.
